Birthdays are so incredibly important. Friends of mine know that I will make a HUGE deal about both my birthday, and theirs because there isn't much that I love more than celebrating the people I care about and making them feel amazing. Naturally, I find great joy in pampering myself around the anniversary of my birth and part of that includes getting ALL THE FREE SHIT that businesses give to the lucky elites who have been born. (You can't see me, but I'm sitting in front of my laptop alone, laughing at my own jokes.) I've looked at multitudes of lists that compile every conceivable birthday freebie out there, only to find that 90% of them either aren't available to me due to my Canadian-ness, don't work at all, or just aren't really worth it. (Sorry, a 10% discount just isn't that exciting when I know that in a few months for Black Friday everything's going to be 80% off) SO. I made myself a nice list of freebies I was actually interested in and that work, and because I love making everyone's birthday magical, it's my pleasure to share that list with you! It's smaller than other lists, and I purposefully left several off the list (anything with less than a 50% discount won't appear here). That information is definitely available and out there for you to find, but I wanted to limit it to the best ones. After all you only have so much time in a day anyway. Even a birth-day.

The Body Shop - When you sign up for a free Love Your Body card, you automatically get $10 off in your birthday month, with no minimum purchase! I used it on a body butter which was on sale for $10 making it totally free!
Denny's - If you go in on your birthday and show your ID, you get a free Grand Slam!
David's Tea - When you sign up for a free Frequent Steepers card, you get a free tea during the 30 days after your birthday!
London Drugs - When you sign up for their free loyalty program, you get a $5 off coupon registered to your account with no minimum purchase!
Hudsons - If you book a birthday party with Hudsons Canada's Pub, you get a reserved table, a free T-Shirt, a free mug, a gift card to spend that night, and a gift card in the amount of your age to use in the future! Menchie's - If you join their free rewards program, you get $5 of free froyo on your birthday! Boston Pizza - If you sign up for their email list, you get a free dessert on your birthday, AND a free appetizer for signing up! Canadian Brewhouse - If you download their free rewards app, you get free nachos on your birthday, AND free golden garlic fingers just for signing up! Plus for every friend that downloads the app with your link you get free kactus chips! I love this app you guys. Booster Juice - Sign up for their email list and receive a coupon for a free smoothie for your birthday!

Starbucks - When you sign up on their app (you must register a Starbucks gift card for this) you get a free birthday drink.
Marble Slab - When you sign up for their email list you get a birthday BOGO coupon for some icecream with a friend! Dairy Queen - When you sign up for their email list you get a birthday BOGO coupon for some icecream with a friend!
The Melting Pot - When you sign up for their email list, you get a coupon for a free box of chocolate covered strawberries you can claim when you make a reservation there within the 2 months following your birthday. I never ended up claiming this one, but I did get the coupon!
