Am I the only one who looks at all the gift guides on Pinterest and thinks "This stuff is ridiculous. If I actually gave someone this as a gift, they'd call me tacky and hustle me out the back door!" Just me? Maybe. In the event that it isn't only me, I wanted to offer something that hopefully isn't tacky, and will inspire you to get into the giving spirit for your favourite adventurer! Which, honestly, might be you. But at least now you'll know what to ask for.
Stocking Stuffers
1. One of these dope reusable straw key-chains! It's so nice to have a straw handy so you don't have to take a plastic one or drink right from the glass, and I for one, don't want to store it in my purse with all my other items, and for guys, well a metal straw in the pocket could have some negative consequences. The fact that it retracts makes it just perfect and easy!
2. This travel toothbrush that lets you store the toothpaste in the handle! This was a suggestion from a friend who has one and loves that not only is it compact, she doesn't have to waste money on travel size toothpaste! She simply fills it from the one she already has and likes, and away she goes!

3. A gogglesoc for your friend who skis or snowboards! I have a couple of these and gotta say they are awesome! They keep your goggles safe and dry while they're chilling on your head, can be used to clean them, and are made of recycled plastic bottles!!
4. Facial wipes. Whether you're camping, sweating at the beach, or freshening up after a plane ride, these are just so nice to have. These are the ones I use.

5. This personal camping mug! Even regular camping mugs are awesome, but this one's even more awesome because they are designed in the mountains! You can also bring yours to a Lamose location and get it personally engraved! I love mine, and it's got my name on it.
6. Wool socks. They're super warm, dry fast, and a wonderful thing to have for any adventurer. Scratch that, any PERSON. Expensive socks aren't really something people like to buy for themselves either, so they make a great gift.
Mid-size Prezzies

7. A good book. I've attached a list of great books for adventure lovers, so they're satisfying that wanderlust, and providing entertainment for plane rides and road trips!
8. Thermacel! These babies are so useful for when you're camping, or even hanging out on the patio. They repel mosquitoes super effectively, saving you from using bug spray!
9. This flashlight lantern. Chris and I use these ones all the time and they are super useful. It saves you from bringing flashlights AND lanterns, and they are super bright! Also pretty resistant to being dropped...we've noticed... 10. Flexy phone tripod. If you ever want to take a good group pic, or if your Instagram husband's arms are tired, this is absolutely perfect cause it's super stable and can be set up practically anywhere!
The Big Juicy Stuff
11. Super convenient packing cubes! I've never tried these, but everyone I've ever met who has is obsessed with them! You can compartmentalise your bag or suitcase like never before, and it makes everything compact for ultimate space saving.
12. A lightweight, H2O compatible backpack with an H2O pack. I received one of these for my birthday, and love it! It's great for day hikes, an aeroplane carry on, bike rides, etc! And the best part about the H2O pack is that you don't need to be reaching back constantly for a water bottle. The straw just reaches to your mouth!

13. A moviemask. This Kickstarter product is one that I received as part of a sponsorship over a year ago and I still love it! It's great for road trips or plane rides when you want to relax and watch a movie on your phone without your creepy neighbour peering over your shoulder and judging you. It makes your phone screen feel like a cinematic experience, and yes, you might look a little funny using it, but you won't be able to see anyone looking at you so who even cares?
14. This big, comfy camping chair. A bunch of our friends (and Chris' dog) have these for camping and boy are they comfortable. If your person or dog is going to spend a lot of time sitting around a fire, consider investing in one of these and make their butt happy and their friends jealous!

15. An amazing experience! It should come as no surprise that an excursion of some type would make your thrill seeker very happy. If you can't afford something like a trip, no worries! Your hometown (or one nearby) probably has some epic stuff to do! Some things in Alberta could be visiting a wolfdog sanctuary, climbing at a high ropes aerial park, renting kayaks for the day, trying an American Ninja Warrior course, and so many many more.
Everything on this list is something that I personally use and love, or would be super stoked to receive as a gift so if your loved one is anything like me, they're gonna cry tiny tears when they open it. If they're like me they will also take way too long to unwrap it in an effort to preserve the wrapping paper. #savetheplanet. I feel that it's important for me also to disclose that at the time of writing, I am not affiliated with, or sponsored by any of the brands or products I've linked. Happy shopping! T
